anyone ever see this movie, with William Peterson and Willem Dafoe? about secret service guys and counterfeiters?
there is a scene where a black guy who is a hitman for Willem Defoe has a small push dagger in his belt, and I was wondering if anyone knows if it was a production knife, custom, or a shank made for the movie.
thanks

Great flick. It's been a long time since I've seen the movie, but I think the knife was a Cold Steel model.

from what I gathered, in the brief flash of the knife on screen (and yes I DID pause it, and scrutinize the image) it was a small, maybe 2 inch blade (hard to tell because the guy carrying it is rather big) dagger ground double edged blade, with a brass? handle. It looked like the knives voke kids made in shop class in my hometown.
It could have been an old cold steel, as the movie came out in the eighties.

they show him draw it from the sheath, which looked to be attached to his belt, or the loops. I own a bowen, and I'm almost positive it wasn't. it actually looked very very small, almost like a pal, but a little longer, and a distinctive dagger grind on the blade. The handle, I'm almost one hundred percent sure, was brass.

Don't know about the knife, but one of the best car chases this side of the French Connection....

hell yeah, and the shotgun scene was more brutal in my opinion than the chainsaw in scarface
