Greetings all,
This is my first time venturing into this section of the forums. I do so in the hopes of learning a little more about Tomahawks. I have never owned one and I am thinking about purchasing one mainly for the craftsmanship, but I wouldn't mind getting the hang of throwing one with precision. So my primary question would be what is the best "Entry Level" model for a beginner?? Something that I wouldn't be in fear of breaking every time I release it, yet my bank account doesn't fear either??(If there is a model that fits this bill and is all or at least partially black to match my tacitical gear, that would be prefered) Thanks allot Jason

I would highly recommend H&B forge for a first tomahawk. They have better balance and throw much better than any Cold Steel hawk and priced very competitively. I currently own 2 and I can throw both much better than I can throw my Cold Steel hawks. I've wrapped one of my hawk handles with black paracord so it matches my tactical gear, it looks good and also gives the hawk a better gripping surface.
Check them out at www.hbforge.com

I guess H&B forge might be out of commision for awhile, I didn't see the post below by Andy Prisco of ATC.

ATC Brend fighting hatchet...95.00 bucks...one piece 1095 steel, sharp as ****...The best bang for the buck I know of, plus, it's ATC!!!:D :p ;)

Andy Prisco is the man
