never made one before, was thinking of buying some steel and starting...
my question is, what's the "ideal" size of steel to start with?
i realize there's a lot of variation in hawk sizes and shapes, but let's just say for example that you could get a bunch of steel in smaller identical pieces from which to forge hawks... what would be your choice? what size square or rectangle, in width, thickness and length would allow you to make an average sized hawk without having to cut off a bunch of steel?
btw, are there any hawk tutorials out there?
thanks in advance...
