Axe head is hand forged from a ball peen hammer with a carved talon spike. Head is 7 inches long with a 2 1/4 inch cutting edge and has been age greyed.fittings are of file worked wrougrt iron. Haft is 14 inches of curly maple. Weight is about 1.2 LBS>
