I get my hair cut and beard trimmed at a place called "Tight Cuts". The place is new and painted in black and gray with black and white 50's and 60's poster pics of the rat Pack, Marilyn Monroe, et. al. They have a waiting room with leather furniture, men's magazines, flat screen TV and they offer the clients a free beverage white you wait for your appointment. It's all gals that do the barbering and they are generally large breasted showing lots of cleavage, wear black mini skirts and high heel boots. All the gals are licensed barbers and give straight razor shaves using oils ad several hot towels. After the haircut you get a double shampoo, head, trapesius, and upper back massage. The gal that cuts my hair is Frank Herbert's grand daughter, sweet gal and a fantastic barber.

Another favorite place for a hair cut and shave is The Art of Shaving at the Luxor/Mandalay Bay complex in Vegas. Norman, the owner, is probably the best barber I've ever seen and is a wealth of barbering knowledge and tonsorial history. They are not cheap, though, but well worth trying if you happen by.

How much is the whole treatment at tight cuts? And where in the world is Puyallup ?

A beard trim and haircut is 25 bucks at Tight Cuts. I get a lot more for my money here than at the other place. I can get my hair cut on post for $7.50 but it just isn't the same.

Puyallup up the Puyallup River from Tacoma and is named after the local Indian tribe. I've been to New York.

You bet... your first one would be 19 bucks because I referred you and my next one would be the same for referring you. I tell you what, I enjoy getting a haircut, now, and look forward to it.

BTW, I did 21 years in the Army Reserve and AGR. Basic was at Ft. Dix in 68 and spent ever pass in the city. I had a good time.

I have fond memories of Ft. Dix as it was my de-mob. site, they crammed 12 of us in a tiny room and the food was only mediocre but I was damn glad to be there.

Back in 68 the food in the Big Deuce was good but then again we was hungry.

BTW, I paid the bill for my two kids and me to get a treatment in Vegas and it was over 300 bucks, but we had a father and son's tonsorial experience and my oldest got married later that day.

When I was growing up in the 50's and 60's in Iowa, I used to sneak into a 1800's era barber shop that had pool tables, booths for euchre, and a beer bar. You don't see that anymore. most of the old boys that hung out there were born in the 1800's. For some reason, I felt comfortable there.
