No, not anything survival or camp related. Just a nice walk on a nearby trail.

Susan carried her Woodsman. Well, we were in the woods. I brought along my Special.

We lightly used our Bucks to cut some stickers and small branches out of the way. No real bushcraft done today.

There was a nice breeze coming off the marsh. At 88F, it felt good.

I was messing around with my SAK at lunch.

It was a good day to get out. Nice to know our Bucks won't easily rust in this salt marsh area. I don't see much outdoor stuff here. I hope it is ok to do this kind of post here.

Hey, you never know when a nice day trip in the woods is gonna turn out to be a survival outing.

Some get through that bottleneck......many go extinct.

Good to have a knife you can trust.

Great pictures.

:)

Great pics.
I used to carry a Buck 102 to the woods all the time, I swayed from that when I got a 110. I don't think I miss anything about the 102, but it has a special place in my heart anyhow.
It's a great feeling to be somewhat "prepared", we head into the thick stuff when we go out for bear season, it would be pretty easy to get lost in these woods.

Hello MR. & MRS. Horn Dog,

Outdoor photo's are always welcome here! I get to have the next 5 days off; so MRS. JB and I will head out for a little R&R. I thinks she will get the R&R and I will get the......list.....you know, Honey do this and Honey do that:eek::rolleyes:

Now HD,
Did you cut anything with those Buck's while on your outing?

I chopped a few intruding sticker vines and palmettos on the smaller trail with my Buck 119. While not really a chopper, it got the job done. If you look closely, you will see the Woodsman knife in Susan's hand in this photo. Some pesky small branch was scratching her. She likes climbing trees for some reason.

Thought that the pictures looked like this area, then I looked up where Blythe Island was and it isn't that far away. Nice pictures of the area and nice pair of knives.
