I like it. I really like the Ironwood. One question though. Why brass? Isn't "silver and tourquoise" more the classic desert SW motif? Or was that just too cliche` for you?
I like the rusticalitynessicity of the blade a lot. Sorry, saw an interview with The Rock last night, been makin up words ever since.

Are those little pieces of turquoise inlaid into the ironwood? Looks great!

Gib,

That looks really  the turquoise really makes the handle stand out. How does the turquoise hold up on a working knife, I was going to order some but didn't know.

great combo

The resion I used Brass insted of Nickel Silver is
that it is a natural with Ironwood. The turquoise
is chip inlay that I use to fill the defacts that
show up in Ironwood, it's mother natures design.
As far as how well it stand up well it seems to be
a lot like Ivroy ,I have quite a few Stainless Steel
hunters out and no complaintes.
I have a coupel dozen different colors and will put
some togather and post them. You need to work
turquoise slow it don't like heat Gib

Very nice piece! It has the that look that just makes you want to pick it up and handle it!

Gib, that's an awesome knife. I have a special place in me for turquoise and ironwood, as my heart is in the southwest and I'm just counting out 10 years till I can retire and move back to New Mexico. You just brought me home for a while, thanks. I really like the transition from the fireworked part of the blade to the ground.

To COOL!!!!!
I used to use allot of turquoise spacers on my small hunters. For some reason I quit using it.I don't know why either as everybody liked it.
Guess I should try some again.
One question how does the reconstituted stuff you can buy hold up with transitions of hot and cold weather?
Bruce

Bruce the person that I get the meterial from tells
me that he has a set of kitichen knives for quite
a while, no special care including dishwasher use.
I have quite a lot of knives out with no problums.
Gib
