Hi Guys....

Well got my Wolf Pup in today..
First off it was a little smaller than I thought it was going to be, but after playing with it for awile,, I've kinda grown to like this little blade.

This would be a Really nice knife for a lady. It fits my wife's hand very well, and she kinda likes it. Now I don't think I'll get her carrying daily any time soon,, but she is warming up to the thought of having a blade with her when we go out.

Ok anyway....

The Knife...

The blade is black epoxy coated of some type. Handle to tang has a nice fit, with some decent filework done on both the handle and the tang.

Handle seems to be canvas micarta with a thin red spacer between the tang. It is also nicely shaped to give a fatter grip for bigger hands. Any less and it would be on the small side.Handle slabs are put on with flat allen head screws and are countersunk into the micarta.

Butt of the knife has a lanyard cord, but seems a little small.

Blade has a typical TOPS looking spine with tractioned thumb ramp and rear tang.

Blade length is 2.5-3.0" in length and is shaving sharp.

Sheath...

Sheath is made from roughly .060 kydex, which is nicely done and well thought out.

Fit is snug without being too tight, with an nice crisp draw.

Belt loop is by way of a strong metal clip attached to a piece of kydex which is folded and attached with black oxide button head Allen screws.

For $60.00USD This is a great little knife, which can be used as a skinner or even self defence.

I've worn it clipped inside the front pocket of my pants and it fits quite well. The clip definately keeps it from coming out.

The only thing I would change on this is that the sheath isn't multi carry. It is set up for right side, and can probably be flipped over for left side with a little fumbling around. I would have liked to see a horizontal setting as well.

All in all a great little knife with many uses. For sure worth the $60.00 price tag...

Eric,

Lucky for you, a new sheath is not going to be that hard to find.

I rec'd my Wolf Pup today and just want to add a bit to Eric's fine review. Don't let its small size fool you. This is a very solidly built piece.

When I first saw a pic I thought it might be suitable as a neck knife -- wrong. Although OAL in the sheath is only about 5 3/4", that 3-finger handle comes in at almost 3/4" thick at the back. Combined with a weight of 4 oz, it would not be very easily concealed or ride very comfortably around the neck under a light shirt.

Am I disappointed that it won't work well for me as a neck knife? No, not at all. It rides very comfortably & unobtrusively on my belt. This little pup has found a new home.

Hey Brian...

Great...
I love that little blade..

BTW I got stopped coming out of the corner store with that little bugger in my front pocket by an Under Cover LEO...

Turned out he was a Knife Knut as well...
Seems the butt end of that knife resembles the butt end of a small snub .38...

Last night I sold one to the guy who works at the store... LOL

It could make a nice little neck knife if the slabs were knoocked off it,, but it so nicely done,,I wouldn't...
