Trainers have Arrived!!

Thanks Balilover....appreciate the information..., they look good :)

I'm curious what they did to make the handles less slippery.., but Chuck probably knows...

Anyone ask Travis about that yet??

Cool!! I was going to get a BM31 but now I just dont know. Good thing its the holidays, Santa's going to busy:D :D :D .

Will be making that phone call to Travis tomorrow. I can't wait to get one to evalaute... Wonder why they didn't make it Safety Orange as suggested by Chuck. That would have been a real good marketing move. Guess they don't always listen to us forumites (kidding).

I hope you can't get your fingers caught in the holes, say, during a grab...

I'll have to get me one of them...:)

I too would have liked to see Red/Orange Annodized handles to identify it as a trainer. I'd hate to be in a rush and grab the wrong knife as I head out the door and for some reason need to use it. :( If they could do a coating like the BLK's have but in red it would be great because it really increases grip and seems to soften the blows ever so slightly.

The one thing that concerns me is the squareness of the butt of the handles. If you've ever used the handle as a flail, you know those square ends can do some serious damage to a box/padded dummy/skin. Try it on a box or a piece of old junk furniture if you haven't ever done it before and you'll see what I mean. It they were a bit more rounded it would be a safer trainer.

That's damn slick! Call me crazy (Dave you're Crazy!), but from an esthetic point of view, I'd love to have a sharp blade with holes like that.

I bet that sucker whistles with enough speed. :D

looking nice. :)

now THAT should be legal to get into this country, right? it's not a knife, is it? it just happens to look a lot like it. you know, we could call it a boredom instrument - like a bali, only less dangarous. ;)

$120... damn, i gotta start stealing to get all these beauties! :p

I would also like to know what they did to make the handles less slippery, and why they didn't do that with all the models?

BM advertises it for 100 bucks, they advertise the 42/3/7 for 170, yet they sell online for around 130.

I'm guessing the trainer will be around 60-70 bucks, that'd be great!

All that ENJUNEARIN education.., and still having "Sibling Rivalries" :p ...draw me a cool T-Shirt instead of whipping A** on your poor brothers (the right-brain activity is good therapeutically)!

I'm definetly going to have to get me one of those. It'll also open up the option of flipping in public with something better suited to it than my LM Wave

does anybody know of a website i can buy the benchmade 40t? (the trainer)? I would love to have one of these for school

For use in school and in public? In that case, no, I don't have any idea where you can purchase these items. Last thing we need is more negative attention.

i'm sorry bladelover i actually meant for practising by myself. just so i don't cut myself. no negative attention was wanted.

I don't think it would be too good for school to be honest. And extreme care would have to be used in public but I get nothing but postive remarks about the LM. Still I do live in a small town that doesn't have any "punk" kid violence other than blowing up people mail boxes, so people think differently.
