Anyone have these or used them? Consumer reports gave them a good review and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Thanks.

Taz,

I have their big chef's knife as well as a 14" Professional frying pan. Although I prefer my Spyderco kitchen knifes and Sitram cookware, the Tramontina stuff is without doubt one of the best values per buck around.

I have yet to see something worthy made by Tramontina.
Get a Victorinox (FOrschner in the US, I believe). It´s a bit more expensive but it´s a much better deal in the long run.
Best regards.
