If you checked in with your luggage, it is extremely unlikely that they will notice it at all. But it is illegal for you to carry in California. It will be legal in the trunk of a car or in a house, but carrying a bali in CA is a misdemeanor, and that's a felony if it's concealed. I would recommend leaving it at home. Good news is that you can carry and conceal any length manual folder in CA without legal hassles. If you have any more questions post them here and we'll try to answer them. And stick around a while, BFC is a great place to talk knives. BTW- what part of Cali are you coming to?
