I have come into possession of my father in-law's knife collection, and I'm in the process of identifying the knives and assessing their values.

In this collection is a very fine looking Tru-Bal Bowie Axe.

Thanks to the internet, I have been able to learn a bit about the knife. Initially, I read that after Harry's death the knives were no longer produced. Recently I've read that this isn't the case, as his sons continued making the knives.

Is there a way to date the knife? Here are scans of the blade:

I am trying to figure out how old this knife is, and it's rough value.

Thanks in advance!

It may be worth $100.00. They are still being made today. He made quite a few and there are tons of them out there. Do you have a pic of the sheath by it self?

no idea, you might want to get in touch with them:

Their number, last time I called is :616 647 1215

Please let us know what ou find out. I am sure if you can date it it would be worth far more than a new one. I heard the new ones have a darker sheath.

Will do!

I haven't attempted a call yet, but I was wondering if they have an email or something like that. I suppose I would feel more comfortable making contact that way, being that I'm just some random person and all.
