Just got my gold member ship here at BFC, and thought I would test it out by posting some pics. Let me know what you think. Also, all pics were taken by forumite Richard Todd.

The first knife is a wharncliffe utility made for my by Brett Bennet (goes by Kaos on the forums.) It has D2 blade steel, 416 stainless bolsters, and stabelize maple burl scales.

The 2nd knife is a Gary Crowder single blade slip joint that I picked up at the Tulsa Gun/Knife show last fall. 154cm blade and green jigged bone scales.

The 3rd picture is my baby! Kimber Ultra CDP II .45acp. Fully carry melt, extended beaver tale, meprolite night sights, checkered front and back strap, tuned trigger, and cocoabolo grips. She sure is pretty :D

Jeremy - this one's a very nice looking piece! I like the looks of it. What's the blade length? Kudos Kaos!

Dex,

The blade length is 4" When I ordered the knife from brett, the only thing I requested up front was 4" wharncliffe stlye blade. We then decided on the other details together: blade steel and handle material.

I left him freedom of design on he handle and such, and I think he did just fine. I have another one that is a hunter, that I will post a picture of. Most of his stuff is fairly "1 of a kind," nothing really set in stone as a basic model or design. Last time I spoke with Brett, he has been really concentrating on making his own damascus and building more "special 1 of a kind" offerings. Brett is really great to work with. He did mention that he is not into building "tactical" knives right now, he prefers more hunter/utility or art fighters. Glad you like the work Dex, here is a picture of a hunter me made for me. Richard altered the picture a little, so the handle is a little brighter blue in the picture then it is in person. This is also one beautiful knife.

Those Bennett knives are great. That wharncliffe is a real standout. The slipjoint is very nice as well. Very classy looking. Gotta say though that I think that Kimber is the nicest looking of the lot. You really have tricked that out nicely.

JR has got some nice knives for sure. One thing for sure, hes got good taste in knives, and obviously takes extra good care of them.

Our photo 'studio' was limited....we had to go outside and take them on the tailgate of his truck using a piece of ply-wood to lay them on since we were at the show. I used JR for a makeshift lighting set up. He stood and moved to certain places to put shadows in the right area and such. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do ya know :)

Jeremy - Thanks for the info on the wharncliffe, seems to be a great size for a working knife. That hunter is also beautiful. What scales are those?

While I stood there and fondled the Kimber :p

Dex,
The handles on the hunter are also stabelized maple burl that bad been dyed blue. Brett said he sill uses wood at customer requests, but is also trying to venture off into other natural handle materials such as some of the bones and ivories. He's working on a damascus dagger and a scottish dirk (he said this will have some jade inlays) and he said he will take some pictures and send them to me when he gets done with those.
Also, here is the original picture of the hunter before the extra blude was added.

By the way, wed had to let Mo set there and fondle the guns just to keep him from fondling himself. It was the only we could keep him from screaming something about wanting to be the dozier shop whore.
