Fällkniven had a 50% sale, so I bought a Cold Steel Magnum Tanto 12 inch the other day, and my what a knife / small sword. No salesman is ever gonna knock on my door again after showing this to him. :D

I have both Tuf Cloth and Militec-1. Which do you think is the best rust protector, given that the knife will be stored in its leather sheath?

BTW, I can recommend this knife to anyone seriously looking into home defense with an attitude.

hey. i was thinking about the same tanto. how is it. worth the coin. if ya dont mind me askin, how much did it cost you.

I've always had good luck with the Tuf-Cloth. If you are going to store the blade in the leather sheath, you are taking a chance. Maybe consider the Marine Tuf-Cloth. It has more of the active ingredient.

Also, checking the knife frequently would be advised. I'll bet you could bring yourself to do that.:D

FWIW, in my tests and in comparing the ASTM test results, neither Militec-1 nor Sentry Solution's Tuf-Cloth/Marine Tuf-Cloth offer the best protection.

The best product I've tested is Corrosion-X, followed by Break-Free CLP.
