Two new BUSH STYLE KNIVES. Each are ground from 3/16" thick 01 TOOL STEEL bar stock. They each have FULL TAPERED TANGS and are 9" long with a 4 1/4" cutting edge. At the widest part (the belly), the blades are just under 1 ½".
One knife has an OLIPOD handle with a BLACK VULCANIZED SPACER. The second knife has a TWICE DYED LAMINATE handle and also has a BLACK VULCANIZED SPACER.
Each of these knives have been etched with a mustard patina.
Thanks for looking. I do love making knives. It is my passion, my art. Every knife that I make is for sale and it is still a thrill when each of them sell!!
Rick

Those are Great! I always enjoy seeing your creations!
Thanks for sharing!

I love both of those. The handles are great, and the mustard patina is very nicely done. I really would like to know the process? I get using the mustard to etch, but how do you get such a great pattern? My only attempt at mustard patina looks like I threw up on it (my first knife I made). How did you get the longitudinal look. Second, how do you finish. With a light buff? Hope you don't mind me asking.

Indian George, vic and Keith... Thank you for your comments.
SheBop, Thanks. That means a lot.
Bigfattyt, Thanks for your interest and for your comments. I'll send you a note. It's no secret, the explanation is just too long to post here and I have my "prepared answer" on the other computer.
Thanks again to all,
Rick

If it wouldn't be to much trouble I would like to see that process as well. That has to be the coolest finish I have seen on a knife.

The simple, understated geometries of the knife combined with very eye-catching steel and handle materials is a great recipe for a blade.
Very nice work sir.
