I went to a gun show last weekend and didn't see anything I liked so I went across the street to a Case knife outlet. Ended up buying a yellow peanut and a chestnut bone swayback jack. Both are beautiful.

Anyway, this morning I used the peanut to slice a banana for breakfast and was wiping the blade with a paper towel when I turned the knife or my thumb just a little and I sliced my thumb right across the thumb print. It wasn't too serious but bled pretty good.

It has been a long time since I've cut myself with one of my own knives. But, as they say, I now own that peanut.

I was going to get a yellow handle Case Stockman yesterday at Shepherd Hill but my eyes are not what they use to be and I'm in need of double vission glasses:confused:. I though I had a two twenties but I really had a twenty and a ten:o! So I came home with a Buck Canoe instead from Bass Pro. I noticed while in SHC that they have some generic Cases with Case Family Pride on the boxes but the knives don't say Case any where on them, but Family Pride. All the ones that I seen were jigged white bone and the trapper was only $35.

Yes. Both knives are CV. I thought about the sway back for a long time, not knowing if I'd like the blade shape, but I'm so glad I bought one, it fits my hand perfectly and rides well in the pocket. I think they will both be great users.

Welcome to the clan of the tiny but scary sharp peanut. Did you buy the one in CV?

:thumbup::thumbup:

Those thin CV blades get really sharp enough to bite you really good. Need to be watchful of them. A CV peanut can gt as sharp as an Opinel with some stropping.
