My pillaging gear is almost complete. Next I need to carve a wooden dragon head and mount it on my canoe.:D

This should show the difference between a 22" haft and a 25" haft.

What are the runes? I like the gear brother!!

ULF = wolf

I'm leaving the long one plain for now until I see how the handle fares against the usual small degree of shrinkage I expect, especially in winter.

But the 22" one, some interlaced knotwork celtic/norse designs are coming soon.

The sword is a River Witham viking sword repro by Generation2. It's a nicely well-tempered piece of 5160 steel. No, it's not as cool and awesome and perfect as those high priced Albions but I've tested it thoroughly and it's built like a tank. I have absolute confidence in it.

The Seax is by Himalayan Imports (made by Kami Dil). Again, very tough (probably 5160) and it took a surgical quality edge. I'm hoping the shop back in Nepal will make a longer Langeseax version about 20" long. This one is 14.5" long.

The next acquisitions I need are a good viking shield and a spangenhelm.

I already have a viking dog, Thor, who is 1/2 Norwegian Elkhound and 1/2 German Shepherd.

He suggests we sail our canoe along the beach at the local lake and run ashore to raid peoples' picnics.

Great dog.

Dude, you seriously need to make a scale dragonship with say 3 shields on each side, and get a helm for your dog.

Damn,now I really want to do one. . .

You know fellas...it aint a proper rampage without a burning ship funeral at the end.

Nice assortment of weaponry. Useful tools for back in the day when the way to meet girls was by attacking their village

righteous.

the Thor-ness kicks much ass - i would babysit him any day.

i'm lovin' the sharp goodies too.
