Unhappy with the CRKT Corkum First Strike

my brother just got this knife in the other day, he bought it then left town so i got to ship it to him but being the good little brother that i am i had to take a look at it. i have always liked CRKT stuff but this knife seemed way below par. The edge is very very poor, the wrapping looks cheap though it may hold up. It was about 50 bucks after shipping so it wasn't the most expensive knife in the world but i did expect more. Has anyone else seen one of these and have any comments? I have bought basketballs from wallmart with more of an edge than this knife. mabee i just got a lemon

Sad to hear this, cuz i really like the knife!

Hope to get some more opinions because this one is on my want list.
I only have one CRKT, the Polkowski/Kasper Companion, but it's made a really good impression, and i would'nt hesitate to buy CRKT because of that impression.
 
I own several CRKT knives, that is why this was so much of a shock to me. I always thought they had a really good product for the price. Again, this knife might just be a bad knife that slipped through the cracks of q c
 
well you can always sharpen an edge, but I'll be interested to hear what others say about the handle-wrapping. That seems like something that would be very costly to put on, in a quality manner and with quality materials, and the knife isn't as expensive as one would expect it would need to be in order to have a really nice wrapped handle.
