Well the title pretty much says it. I have an old AA mini maglite that has only the body, tailcap, head, silver reflector thing and the lense+peice that goes over that to complete head assembley. I don't really need it as a torch so I was wondering if any of you guys could think of something cool I could do with it. I wasn't 100% sure where to put this thread, but I think it will work here.

What are you missing besides a bulb? Get a led replacement bulb.

Get this thread moved to W&C and you will have plenty of suggestions! :D

Lol, I thought about putting this there it at first, then after about 1/3 of a seconds thought, I decided that would be a bad idea.

I don't really need it as a torch, but I had forgotten there was an LED upgrade for these. I will porbably do that, I want to see what the uprgrade is like.

Otis for the win!

Even a lazy bastid like me might be tempted to try making that fire piston just to annoy outdoor buddies.:D

[In Prac Tac, the suggestion would be to use it as a kubaton or palm stick. Or a fist load for punching.]

A thought occurs, reading the firepiston link made me realise that I do not have the bulb socket. Tail cap, spring, body, and head assembly, thats it. If I wanted to do an LED conversion, would it come with it's own bulb socket? Yeah, I'm too lazy to make a fire pistol, lol.

That's my site and my instructions. It's actually pretty easy to do. Even easier is getting a Delrin rod and putting an o-ring on it instead of using wood and that special plumbing gasket.

Say you have a SAK with a paracord neck lanyard and a knot, you want the knot to stay at the back of your neck while the SAK sits in front, the rubber O-Rings off the Mag lights are good for this. just wrap em around and slide them up next to the little key ring.

Good idea, but I'm kind of paranoid about paracord around my neck. I prefer the light chains that are easy to break---just in case.
