I dunno Dan.....I gave the site a quick look over...then found the Canadian dealers, when I check their websites....They were all linked to some kind of gay man porn........very disturbing.

with a few, ahem....in quite the opposite direction!

You have to be very ballsy to wear a kilt......sorry....had to.

I like utilikilts. When I was close to buying one I found some other rugged kilt makers that were highly recommended, some don't like utilikilts. Some dislike them for the build(others love them) and some dislike them for the owners political views(Very liberal).

First things first though, I need a real kilt in my familys tartan. I would like to lose a few pounds before I invest in a kilt of any kind though.

I agree with darby, a kilt in a man's clan tartan is the way to go. Barring that, Utilikilts are kinda nice in that they're sturdy and good for just workin in. And you're sure to get a few comments on it if you go out on the town in one. I have a regular old 8 yd wool kilt in black watch, but am saving up for a real kilt in my clan tartan. Only problem is, it costs upwards of $400 for a good kilt made by a reputable maker. I spend too damn much $ on knives to afford it!

It's like cargo pants, but easier to change your diaper.

Leather model is 666$ ... :S

If you have a massive beard....yes, the utilikilt is OK

Without a beard, you would have to......well, without a beard, NO GO.

I just can't get behind kilts. I mean, in my opinion girls wear skirts because they're pretty, not because they're functionally better than shorts.

I do not mind other guys wearing them, but I would not feel comfortable in one.

As a scotsman I heartily approve. Kilts are great. Also look good on the man with a fuller figure.

Kilts rock....

I plan to be married in one....

The history of the un-bifurcated garment is an interesting one....

I like 'em. A lot. I've been thinking about getting one for some time, now. The only thing holding me back is the price.

One of these days, I will end up getting one.

I've had mine for about 5 years, my wife has banned me from wearing it in public. Great for hiking, no good for climbing though. Great to wear in the summer if your house has no central air.

I tend to go for SportKilts myself. A wee bit more traditional...................... yeas I meant to say wee:)

My wife thinks they're drop-dead sexy on a guy. That having been said, there are two big things that have kept me from getting one:

A) I don't think I have the calves for it.

B) I don't think that kilts and -40 winters really go all that well together.
