One of the things Spyderco does best is fill empty niches in the knife world. What I have in mind may represent one of those empty niches:
A balisong built primarily for utility and not for flipping or combat. The blade would be wide from edge to spine and double flat ground. There would be no false edge so the heel of the weak hand could be used to press on the blade when needed. (Maybe Manix blade sans hole).
Blade steel would be premium stainless and handles, ideally, titanium with a pocket clip; Blade just under 4" to be legal in most jurisdictions.
There are production balis out there which flirt with idea but none truly fill the bill. Right now, the custom route is the only way.
This would simply be a utility folder with the strongest possible lockup.
