Does anyone else find the aluminum scales on the Vantage Force-avid model rough on the pockets? I mean to the point of fraying them fairly quickly

Was hoping someone might have a solution. :D

Yes, I was dissatisfied with the roughness of the scales, which was a shame because they are fantastic in hand (for me...some may find it rough in hand too) and they look friggin' cool.

I ended up swapping my scales out for the non-Force Pro's G10 scales. I ended up adding texture to the G10 later, making it just aggressive enough to be grippy in hand but not aggressive enough to be as much of a pocket killer as the aluminum scales were.

This is probably one of the reasons some Vantage fans have been asking for scale kits or something along those lines for the Vantage series, since the scales are interchangeable between all of the large Vantage knives, Force and non-Force models included.

i would love the vantage force avid scales with a regular vantage blade and not the black coated blade. too bad they can't do a custom vantage option on their websites custom knife site.

i go on the facebook official buck site. really cool post on their as well. i check both of these sites for buck anything!
i asked about them adding the vantage line to their build a custom site, but they aren't going to do it anytime soon unfortunately.
