As you can tell by my post history I am quite taken with the Vantage series. That got me to thinking, do you the Buck community think the Vantage series will be as long lived as the 110? Does it have enough classic style and ability to be the next Buck to make the long run?

We'll see but I too LOVE this knife. It has become my EDC of choice no matter what else I have in my pockets, this one is ALWAYS there. The longer I have one the more I appreciate it. Mine is a Wally World Select with Dymondwood slabs. I think they might be phasing these out so I feel lucky to have gotten one, and real pretty one at, that as they all look a bit different. For the money I don't see anything else even close on the market today. Although I've toyed with a Sandvik or an S30V Pro I seem quite satisfied with the 420HC. It stays razor sharp and has awesome corrosion resistance, what more do you want?

I love the series as well, and have several. The questtion was do we think they will last as long as the 110s have in popularity and the answer is NO. The 110 has been around for 50 something years. For me to say that a newer knife is going to have the same or better legacy would be a slap in the face to the 110. Besides the 110 what single model folder has lasted as long in populatity???? not too many

Time will tell but I think of the Vantage as the 110 of the 21 century. I have one I got my son one and I think I will get a second.
