Hey guys, could y'all clarify something for me?

There are two Vantage Pro's listed on the Buck website, one is Model # 0347BKS-B, and the other is model # 0342BKS-B.

My question is, are they the same knife, but one is a larger model? There's a difference in price between the two of $15. All the specs look to be identical except for dimensions.

Thanks

Well don't I feel like the dumba$$. I just read the specs for the 342 and right there in plain english were the words "Slightly smaller than the 347..." :o

Oops, sorry

But thanks for your reply KC :D

It's more than "slightly smaller" to me. It's 1 1/2" overall length shorter. I have all the versions and the little guy is just a tad too small to suit me. It makes a great kid's or lady's knife though.

Depends upon whether you have hands that can easily use the hole opener on the small Vantage. (The flipper is useless and I don't care for them anyway.)

For my medium size hands, the small Vantage Pro is a little jewel. Just right for pocket edcing.

For those with larger hands, check out the large Vantages.

I have big paws and agree with Plum. The little one is a great and solid knife but I cant use either the flipper or the thumbhole. But the larger is perfect both flipper(which I prefer) and the thumbhole.
