The new Garret Wade catalogue has a number of very nice wood working tools including a Japanese hatchet which looks to have a decent bit profile fo $30 US. There are also a number of machete class blades, knives, saws, and axes. There is a heavy Japanese influence in a lot of the cutlery, laminated edges on soft steel or iron, heavily optomized for cutting ability.
