Vascowear??? Cruwear???

TKS sells something called Cruwear, I assume it is some sort of exotic steel? They also HT something called Vascowear?
What is this stuff? What is it good for?

I am planning on making a steel order and begin making something that I hope will turn out to be a knife. I am curious.

Both are extremely high alloy tool steels. They are difficult to work, even after annealing. They are hard to sharpen when finished. They hold an edge a very long time.
