Hi all this is my 500th post, and it is a report on the villager I got on Thursday. It is good stuff! At 15.5 inches and about 1.5 lbs, it is the smallest khuk I own (except for the Kagas Katne that the wife snapped up immediately. she was actually interested when I told her I oredered her one!)
The viallager has a nice bulldog look to it, and the steel fittings are quickly becoming my favorite fitting style. Just looks serious! Any how, I go the thing for a buddy, turns out he didn't want it. I thot about what MauiRob said, and I started to think I had another khuk for my collection. THen another buddy happened by, and he handled the villager, and just knew it was the blade for him.
Sanu nailed the distal taper on this pup, and all of the grind lines are really smooth and clean. Maye a lot of the 'wave' you see in the polished models is actually from polishing, cause this villager is nice and straight. I like the "B.G." and S.N. +" marks sanu used for this piece. All in devengari. The edge geometry is slightly convex, and It has the 1/64th area of unsharp edge like the one Yvsa got (but its from cho to initial curve, a stone to touch it up).
All in all, a nice rig good karda, hard chakmak, I'll hafta save for a villager of my own!
