Vintage Covington "Flesh Monster"

[HERBIEDUKE]

When first designed in 1992, he jokingly called it "The Flesh Monster" 12" OAL , 7 1/4" blade tip to black micarta scales. Weight is 17 oz.
He said he had to move a lot of metal, and doubt if he would ever make another.
Sheath was also made by Greg.

This one goes back a ways for me......I like the word "vintage"

It was from a very large plate of 01 steel, 5/16" thick. You can imagine how much sawing to blank it out. It was from my old hollowgrinding days and the knife was heavily influenced by Jim Hammond....even the sheath.
