This is the second blade I have forged out of Don III's W-2. Started out by cutting the round bar in half, welding on a handle and then heading over to Ray Coon's to use his Little Giant. Cut that bar in half and then hand forged the blade. This knife has an 8 1/2" blade, iron fittings, a bronze spacer and a curly bubinga handle. 14" overall.

Great knife overall, IMHO. Love that handle nd hamon, in particular:)

I absolutely LOVE everything about that knife!! That is gorgeous!! Stunning!! OMG, I sooooo LOVE it!!! WOW!!
 
now that is a beautiful big knife! Holy crap, this hand forged steel is really floating my boat!
 
This one got buried under other threads before I got a good look at it... Very nice knife! Almost has some "ABS"ishness to it!!! :D

Like the relation between the guard and blade and the ferrule at the butt! Looks like it would make an excellent camp knife or Turkey Slicer!!! :D

Glad to hear you're still hammerin and it was great to see you at the NWKC show in Puyallup!!!
