Here is a piece of Sambar Stag that I was able to keep 100% intact with no stock removal involved to make the various pieces fit!
In other words, from the face of the handle to the butt, no tapering was done to fit the spacer or butt cap - get it?
Now, the spacer is not a PERECT oval or circle, but, rather, made slightly out of shape to fit the face of the Stag.
Additionally, the butt cap was shaped to FIT the handle butt.
You get the point.
Forged and clayed 9 3/4" W2 blade and stainless take-down fittings complete the 14 3/4" package!

is it just me, or is that picture bigger than your usual postings?
That bowie is right down my alley, that's for sure:thumbup:

Karl,
This is by far my favorite piece from you thus far in your knife making career. Great lines, shape and materials.

Make more like this!!!

doesn't look like anything is wrong with you, Karl:confused:
unless you meant to put a teeny tiny picture there:p

Even if I could barely see it, I'd still tell you how sweet that knife looks:)

You built a terrific bowie around a really excellent piece of stag - well done!

Karl

This is the one I like the most from all of your knives I´ve seen so far. Great job!

To steal from a sports cliche...

GRAND SLAM WALK-OFF HOMERUN!

Karl,
That is a beautiful knife, and I am sorely tempted. :( Thank God I have that mid-sized bubinga bowie to keep my sanity level in check.
