Allright now, its far too quiet around here! So, I am a Lefty, yea I know right brain and all. Dont believe a word of it!!:p How many other left handed Swamp Rat users are here? Specifically Camp Tramp users. C'mon out of hiding, its gonna be worth your while.....nuff said about that!;)

And Gundy, I know your right handed, you too Eric:p

Fess up! Stand up and be called!!

UNFORTUNATELY I AM RIGHT HANDED. BUT I DO HAVE SOME QUESTIONS. RECEIVED MY INFICOOT WITH THE FRICTION RETENTION SHEATH AND HAVE NOT DECIDED IF I REALLY LIKE IT OR NOT(I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF A MOVE AND IT IS NOW IN MISSOURI WAITING FOR ME). ALSO RECEIVED MY AD TODAY WITH THE STANDARD POUCH SHEATH AND WHILE THE QUALITY IS TOP NOTCH I DO NOT CARE FOR THAT STYLE EITHER. LIKE THE BAD ASS SHEATH YOU MAKE, BUT WANT SOMETHING FOR BOTH VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL CARRY AND IF POSSIBLE, A FOLDED OVER DESIGN WITH LESS STITCHING. THE STANDARD OLD STRAP AND SNAP HAS A LOT TO BE DESIRED, ESPECIALLY WITH THESE BLADE STYLES. (FOR THE COOT I WANT TO ADD A SECURE POCKET FOR A STEEL AND FIRE STEEL) THE ABILITY FOR RAPID BLADE DEPLOYMENT IS A MUST. I HAVE CONSTIPATED ON THIS A LOT AND CAN NOT COME UP WITH ANY BETTER IDEAS. DID NOT SEE ANYTHING ON YOUR WEB SITE EITHER. SO I GUESS THE QUESTION IS, WHAT ELSE IS OUT THERE AND AVAILABLE THAT WILL MAKE ME ALL HOT AND BOTHERED AND NOT BE A ONE NIGHT STAND? IS THERE SOMETHING I HAVE MISSED? ANYWAY...... IF THIS IS OUT OF LINE FOR THE FORUM I CAN BE REACHED UNTIL MONDAY @ tim4amy@earthlink.net
IF ANYONE ALSE HAS A SUGGESTION PLEASE SPEAK UP.

I'm not a lefty but did you know right-handed people live an average of 9 years longer than left-handed people? How's that for quiet;) :p :D

It may be that us righties live longer because we don't suffer the daily stress and frustration caused by contortions and jury-rigging needed by lefties to use products that were designed around the assumption of a right-handed user. I've got a lefty friend who points out the vast majority of daily-use items that are lefty unfriendly or totally incompatible.

I noted recently an assault carbine with an ejection port machined on both side of the receiver and switchable ejection port cover. So it can be set up to be either left- or right-handed. Very cool. Now if I could just remember the mfr and model. :( I seem to recall the mfr's name started with "B", like Beretta maybe??

It's gonna be a hot day here today. Thank goodness bottle openers, pop-top cans, and iced tea pitchers are ambidextrous. ;)

Hi Tim,
I have done a couple of the BAD ASS sheaths that are capable of both vertical and horizontal carry, I put a flat belt loop on the back and it seems to work well. The design lends well to fast aquisition in either mode, and I now have an option of snap loop or regular belt loop as in the 'coot ASS. Other than that I can do a pouch type sheath that is much more user friendly, it has a canted carry loop (handle to the rear) and I can angle the carry to whatever you want.
I'll send you a couple of pics of what I did recently, I havent got the chance to put them on the site yet.

Yea, us lefties have it a little harder at times, some of us worry about it others do something about it :~) I like that ejection port cover! nothing like hot brass in the crook of the arm to make your day! or worse down the shirt!!!

Only one other lefty here???? Helooooooooooo!:p

Bushmaster?

I AM LEFT HANDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And proud of it. I just so happen to have a Camp Tramp as well, and being that fact that Leatherman started this post, I think I like where this is going:D

Cerberus

I’m a lefty, but write right-handed, I used to get a thumping off the teacher and made to write right-handed.
The good side is when my left hand gets tired I can swap over..:)

I'm a southpaw!

Right now, the only rat in my possesion is a Howler, but I plan to acquire a Camp Tramp in the very near future!:D

Dave

I am also left handed. I write left handed, I throw a football left handed. I do however bat right handed and play guitar right handed. I have a Bandicoot and an INFIcoot. No camp tramp. I have an abundance of Steel Hearts so that size is already filled. A Battle Rat will probably be in my future though.

I am a lefty and a camp tramp user too. :D (don't worry dwayne, I did order that infi'coot sheath right handed, I can use both ;))

Hi leatherman,
I'm a lefty and have a CT.Also have the Infi Coots as well as other neat knives.
Pete

This is gettin' good!:D Thanks for all the responses so far, the veil will be lifted soon....;)

Alpha?? You a lefty to eh?! Your pin lock INFI 'coot sheath is done! send me a note with your addy and I will get that bugger out to you. Pics of that one coming tomorrow!

Ceberus, you need leather......think leather.......kydex bad, leather good!;) :D

Ian, I got in school just as there was a push to teach left handed students to write left handed, not to force a right handed regimen. I feel really lucky as both my father and grandmother were left handed to start but forced to write right handed, a shame really:(

More to come.......btw wheres Gundy and Eric?????????? hogging up all the mini spec ops I bet!:grumpy: ;)

When I started school they where starting to teach lefties.I think they tried to get you to write right at first but didn't push it.When you think about it is really rather strange, trying to make people write right hand.
My Dad was left and so are us 3 boys,Mom and sister are right hand.My boy is left,my daughter is right so is my wife.Wierd stats-huh.

Yep. Me too. I'm a lefty. Shoot, throw, fish, kick, write, left-eye dominant, hear better, golf right handed (power left so actually I golf the way a lefty should). Bat left handed (should be called right but isn't). Play trumpet right handed (design flaw by instrument manufacturers)....:D

In addition: My dad, uncle (mother's side), son, and daughter are lefties. My daughter-in-law is a lefty..... My grandson (born 4 June that I just got to meet MAY be a lefty    too.

Rok,
The Beretta CX4 Storm is the carbine you might be refering to.

Very Cool!! We at least have a few lefty Rat Users, I'm almost ready to reveal my reason for all this so please bear with me, a couple of unfortunate happenings have set things back a bit but all is back on part track (heh, never was right on track!);)

I'm a lefty too. Apparently us lefties' have fractionally quicker reactions than right-handed people, something to do with brain configuration I've been told.

...I haven't got a CT though.

Matt
