Just stopped in my local WM and both the 0345BKS Eco-Lite Paperstone and 0345GYSWM Charcoal Dymondwood models have been red-tagged for final clearance.

The Sporting Goods manager is a guy I've known since we were kids, and he said they are being dropped from the WM selection.

Well looks like I got a 15 mile trip to Belle Vernon for some clearance knives in my future.
 
I sure wish I was near that Wally world. I cant find any within a 60 mile radius from me in the Dallas area.:thumbdn:
 
I picked up a 110 for 26 at my local walmart had to hit 8 different walmarts and found a few more left in stock. would like to find one of the other ones though.
 
For those calling to check on the Vantages, their number on the Wal Mart knife display board is

101 for the 0345BKS
103 for the 0345GYSWM

You need to know that the Buck factory only puts out new model knives after "ALL" dealer orders have been filled. Most of the time you guys show knives on BF's that I have not seen at the factory. If I want a "new" model of Buck I order online like most people here because they are not available at the Buck Store.. If it is a Walmart exclusive it most likely never be at the Buck Store.

Actually the factory store discounts products 10-15% off MSRP but then you have to pay 6% Idaho sales tax. I have found they have most models in stock once those models are in full production. I have not seen the Wal-Mart, BPS, LLB, or Cabelas exclusives at the factory store unless they were blems or closeouts.
 
On my way to visit Wally in a few minutes-wish me luck. If they gotta disco stuff, we might as well benefit.

I am back from my east Tex vantage hunt, the Canton w/m was a bust for dymondwoods so off to Gunbarrel City and Athens. Picked up a nice wood pattern vantage in Athens but the blade edge grind is very lopsided:mad: no closeout pricing at those stores btw.

I tried shopping on wal-mart on-line but they don't carry them. They have three special deals on Buck knives, though.

A combo of the small and medium Bantam for $20 shipped free to your store. That's appealing.
 
I hit one this AM about 20 miles from me, because I had to be over that way anyway, and they had several of both, but had not reduced the prices yet. :(

I think it may be a store by store or regional disco. I went to the one about 15miles south of me and found no reduction. I asked a clerk who checked the bar codes and said they were all "replenishable" which, to me, means they arent discontinued. At least I got a new lawnmower cheap.:thumbup::)

They are getting rid of the Kershaws and are making room for this crappy looking Bear Gryls(sp) Gerber.:barf:
