The small hole's in the handle just below the head and above the hand grip are for drop's.

The handle is hand shaped from some Ash i have in the shop-22 1/2 inch's long

Wow, that is absolutely beautiful. If my tomahawks spoke I'm certain they would be hassling me like a jealous girlfriend.
So tempted to stray toward such an object...

I'm really starting to like these long handle's,make's the hawk have a totally different response and feel in hand, plus your opponent on has a 10 inch bowie whereas i've got this wicked little thing and a GUN

Wicked!

What do you mean "The small hole's in the handle just below the head and above the hand grip are for drop's." ?

A place to hang some decoration like a feather, some beads or maybe a Zombie tooth !

I don't know whether to think frontier or french trapper or Viking war axe, but I think that's the reason I love it so much. I don't know how much time and effort Coal Creek puts into these designs, but he sure does seem to have a knack for bringing the most out of a head and a haft. Axes are such amazing tools, they cover so many uses and offer so many different styles and carry options, etc... and I think you do a pretty spectacular job of making the most of that. One day I'll have the green to shell out on one of your axes!
