I got this beauty this week from Art Washburn. It is 4" OPEN. The thing is small, but I love it. It has Walrus Ivory handles, mokume bolsters, "stars" mosaic damascus blade, and filework on the back spacer and blade. I bought it as a user and debated selling it because it was way too prety for this ugly guy to use... But I am gonna keep it. It is a beautiful work of Art (pun intended) I also got a Ray Kirk damascus neck knife the same day... talk about a happy day! I hope to have pics of it soon. The pic is a little blurry, and in no way can show this knive's beauty. I hope to get a cleaner pic this week also.

Not a lot better, but i think you can see a little more detail. Still, no picture could ever represent the beauty this knife, or any other knife for that matter, holds.

Nifer, what a great little knife she's a beauty, use her in good health.

Art Washburn, seems like I've heard the name before?

Mine should be coming this week. I know this is a small knife and you've got big fat hands, but how is the action, fit and finish?
Now let's see if you have the nerve to use it, ya wuss?

Beautiful folder Art and Jeremy. Bet every aspect of that knife is much prettier than the picture.

Another sweet knife, Jeremy...you get tired of her just send her down my way!

PhilL's knife was ultra smooth in operation and the lock up solid, Art does very good work!

I agree with PhilL, you do would do Mr. Washburn and his creation justice if you carried that baby around and used it proudly.

That is a beautiful piece. I just love little gent's folders, especially when they are done with beauty AND function in mind. Looks like Art's got that down to an art.

Thanx fer sharin' Jer.

Thanks guys. This knife is by far the most beautiful creation my ugly butt has ever owned. I decided to keep it. I am gonna have a leather pocket sheath made to carry it around in. Just because I use it, doesn't mean I have to screatch it up and beat it up. Phil, the fit and finish is top notch. The pivot pin is hidden under the mokume bolsters. The action is very smooth. Even though it has the thumbstud and linerlock, it still really isn't a one hand knife. There is no notch cut out to facilitate one hand closing. Which for a gent's knife, I don't see that as a problem. It's probably better for me, it keeps my grubby hands from rubbing all over the carbon steel blade. I don't want to rust my baby!

Good attitude Jeremy! (and yes you can get use out of a nice folder without having it look like it went through a war with you

).

I have a tendancy to have fixed blades made along the non-bending lines of users or 'wall hangers', but it is enjoyable to carry a nice folder and even the top ones in my collection get carried every once in a while although a little more carefully.
