My current EDC. Just got a Spyderco DoDo, and really like it. Excellent grip, very thin and light. Now I need to get a plain edge too.
Watch is the WestCoasTime 5513. Light is the Arc AAA (Limited Edition)

Oh, and the picture is shot with the latest gadget - an Olympus C8080 digicam! :D

EDIT: oops...this is not the correct picture anymore...

Very nice ... what does the clip side of the dodo look like by the way. I think I might want one as well. Thanks!

Watch...Casio ProTrek Tough Solar.
Knife...Benchmade 806D2 (or 805) and 721s.
Light...Photon II and Streamlight Twin Task 2L.

I gotta ask, WHAT did you do to that Sebenza? That sucker is DROP DEAD! I don't think I've seen another quite like it. Awesome! If I had thought to do something like that I might have kept my sebenza!

Sincerely,
Anthony

Thanks very much for the kind words, DJ and Anthony. :) I sanded off the scallops on the handle of the Sebenza with a drum sander. I then sent it off to Reese Weiland to have it bead-blasted and to install the tip-down carry clip. I've since then darkened the clip by firing it up on a gas kitchen stove, same with the bolt heads, and darkened the titanium scales by submersing them (disassembled) in hot water mixed with Oxy Clean. The titanium oxidized into a darker shade. Good way to touch up a scratched Sebbie handle without having to send it back to CRK.

No watch worn for a year or two. I have a neat Breitling, a Rado and a 1950s LeCoultre "mystery dial", so it isn't for lack of watches. But I carry a Blackberry and a Palm-based cellphone and since they both have the time on them, I don't see the point in a watch although I love watches. I am out of the habit of wearing one these days.

So let's see...my new EDC knife is a BM Doug Ritter mini-Grip which I just love.

Flashlights...I carry a Streamlight Strion rechargable. The throw is great, and no guilt over battery life, and it focuses. Superb light. I also carry a Photon Freedom attached to some pepper spray (1/2 oz. Fox Labs), and often a UK 2AAA eLED light as well.

mistakaroo, I didn't see it. I think it has been eaten by my companies spam filter. Can you send again to 'ted ..at.. tweakdsl.nl' ?

Thanks,
Ted

Since youre in the thread, I just wanted to know what lighting you used. I saw that it was at F8 but not sure on the shutter speed. Did you use a Tripod?

mistakaroo, I took it outdoors. The camera was on a tripod indeed, pointing straight down to a trunk of a tree with the items on it.
Shutter was 1/20 according to EXIF info. I used the IR remote control that came with the camera, very handy!
I wanted F8 to get the maximum depth-of-field for sharpness. Overall exposure was -1 EV. The picture is resized to 33%.

This is me with the tripod reflecting in the ball lock :D

Yeah, Ive used my IR remote plenty times (Canon G2). A tripod has been on my to buy list for over a year now. The problem is I keep spending the money on other things. :D

Camera stinks it big time, but. .
