I think Nakano is refering to putting it back in your pocket and having the wave partially open the knife. I have tried it without this experiencing the wave openning it. However if you are not careful and slightly turn the knife I can see how the wave would catch the pocket.

My guess is these are the exact handle slabes that go on the regular CQC7

 
Ah yes, thanks Trader. That was my concern. Additionally did any quick drawing result in the wave catching the lip of pants pockets? I realize that the waves "hook" is facing in the downward direction if carrying tip down. However, my draws consist of thumb making first contact with a small patch of friction tape on the scale and then simultaneously pushing it outwards and drawing it up. It is conceivable that the wave may catch in this drawing method. I' d like to know. Thanks.
