I understand that there will be waved enduras and delicas comming out sometime in the not toooo distant future. I realize the wave is generally thought of as a tactical assist but I think it would be equally appropriate on a rescue knife. I am thinking sheepsfoot or modified sf, like the p-salt with an H1 blade built on the new endura/delica handles... any interest from anyone else?

I wouldn't mind seeing a wave on other models either. To me the wave is just a fast way of opening your folder and shouldn't be reserved for tactical knives.

There are many emergency rescue and fireman carrying Waved knives just for that reason. It is proabably being used more extensively in that area of expertise than is generally known. Police and Military are also using them. On the Emerson forum (the private one) the profiles of members there show a very high percentage of LEO and Rescue (EMT) workers.

I would bet the D'Allara Rescue C82 could be Waved easy enough. A minor reprofile of the blade shape may be necessary to make it work better but it looks like it could be a very good Waved rescue knife to me.

I would jump on a waved rescue model. I have the Emerson colab and its a good knife, but the rescue is my favorite spyderco. As far tactical goes, the rescue will work just fine.
