ways of prevent the blade from hitting the handle (double tang pin, kick etc.)

i just read in an earlier thread that there's been a lot of different ways of preventing the blade from hitting the inside of the handle, for instance a kick or another tangpin (in the ricasso). now, if there's a bunch of others, i'm curious in what those are.
can anyone please tell me? i can't really come up with any myself...

oh wait, i also read something about someone having a screw or something inside the handle that made the blade stop... like a kick on the handle but still, that's only 3 methods! any others?
