I'll be laid up with a cold....so, would love to hear what adventure you all might be having this weekend.

Dan

Well if the weather is not too bad my pal is having a home brewers retreat at his house.

It's not quite hiking but you do have to drive about a mile up a creek bed to where his log cabin which has no running water, indoor plumbing and solar and hydro electric sets.

Might go for a hike. I was sick over NY and still my bronchial tubes are tender.

Sorry to read that you are still sick. I have been struggling myself, with a respiratory infection. If I feel up to it, my wife and I are going SUV shopping tomorrow. That's my big plans.

hmm.. band practice tonight. Taking the wife to the airport Sunday, and then the big game!

I'm going to chop, shape, grind, and hopefully heat treat 10 nessmuk blades on Saturday. Then I'll really appreciate that first sip of beer that evening.

Oh. And I turn 35 on Saturday too.

Happy B-day Andy!

I'm headed to the East Windsor CT Show this weekend. I might even buy something!

Happy B-Day indeed! Hopefully I'll catch your b-day tomorrow too.

A good friend is coming up tomorrow & we'll be headed to the outdoor range at John's Mt. WMA. I love being 10 minutes from a outdoor range, just wish they were open on Sundays. Plan is to be there from 12pm till 5pm shooting. My friend will be bringing his Grandfather's Winchester Model 50 shotgun & S&W Model 10 to shoot. I'll be taking my S&W Model 17, Browning Hi-Power, and NEF single shot 12 gauge. I was hoping I'd have my new AR-15/M4, but it's not come in yet.

Sunday might be spent at the Eastman Gun Show, but if the weather is decent, I might be spending it teaching my oldest to ride his bike.

Hope you feel better Dan.

youngest son just threw up all over his bed.....yay.....:barf: *sigh*

Have some fun for me, guys.....!

except for you, raindog101....you can hang w/ me in the pound....:foot:

Sounds like you're already having fun there, Dan. Hopefully, he'll be quick to get better and it won't get passed around the family in the process.

Well I had fun for you Dan. Granted after 50 rounds of 12 gauge, my shoulder is feeling a bit tenderized.

I'm thinking that along with my NEF 12 gauge, & S&W model 17 in .22lr, a certain Scandi-Nessmuk, will be a great woods roaming combination.:D

If it's any consolation, I just found out tomorrow will be spent going to church due to a Cub Scout function my oldest son is in. That will be followed up by looking after my youngest, while the wife takes the oldest to a birthday party. No gun show for me.

Well, i have had a lingering case of the flu for a month. Finally feeling better so I took a quick hike today, nothing big. But I did take my Bushcrafter along. What a great carving knife.

Speaking of adventures, or at least fun, after seeing them play a short set on Mountain Stage on Sunday

www.mountainstage.org

I got to check out a full length free concert but the Carolina Chocolate Drops last night at WV State college.

I love old timey music and this trio plays old time, some jazz and ragtime, some blues they even did an african tune on a gourd banjo.

Check out their tour dates. If they are anywhere in your area they are totally worth checking out.
