I may have gone overboard on this........nah!
I really, really, really like the Wegner designed folder. The Spyderco version has spent quite a lot of time in my pocket since being introduced. I always felt that the perfect Wegner would have two liners, this is just a personal preference, I like two, it just seems, seems right. I finally got lucky and got a double liner with 440V steel and green micarta handles from Tim in November. Of course this was not enough. I then found a titanium handled one from Larry at BladeArt. Great! Again, not enough. I finally picked up, from Larry again, a double liner with black micarta handles. I now have three of the same knife! Albeit in different configurations. Guess the next will be the heavy duty model ( these seem heavy duty yo me!) with 5/32" blade steel.

I have to say that I am very impressed with the work of Phil Boguszewski. All three of these open slick and lock up solid. The titanium model has an orange peel finish on the handle slabs that I really like, while the two micarta versions have a nice beefy handle to hold onto.

The micarta versions have 440V steel that came quite sharp, while the titanium has ATS-34. The ATS-34 seems to take a better satin finish. All of them have jeweled liners that contribute to the smooth action.

All in all I am really happy with these knives. I have always liked the blade shape of the Wegner. It lends itself to a variety of tasks. I have no problem with using this knife daily. Tim Wegner, my hat is off to you on a great design! Phil Boguszewski, my hat is off to you for flawless execution in building these knives!

p.s. if the desire hits you to take these apart......boil them for 4 to 5 minutes first. The screws are epoxied to keep the knife together. Boiling the knife will soften the epoxy and allow you to disassemble without stripping anything. I used RED loctite to reassemvble. The red stuff is PERMANENT.

Just some Sunday night observations as I sit here nursing my prostate.
