Hi guys,
I picked this one up in the exchange on a gamble. It is a small lockback knife. It has a boars head shield. It has some aesthetic hitches (long pin and uneven match between blade and back spring). However, this has to be my best bargain purchase of the year.

Anyone else have these? I am really impressed with this sample. (And got it for a song! (well almost))

Yes, I've got that type and a larger Barehead. Very decent knife in my experience, but forget all that tosh you sometimes hear on the Bay about old stock etc, they're not.

my 1st introp to these was the parker catalog. i bought 10 or 12 of the larger stag lockbacks & liked the quality. fit & polish was great & some of the models had that ole timey european look. i think of black forest & chamois skin neck pouches.quality was good but certainly not the lost golden fleece as championed by parker.

Nice little lockback! I passed over that one on the For Sale page as I am trying to lessen my slipjoint impulse buying. I'm already regretting that. :D

Picked this up some time back hoping to replace a similar Henckels.

Mike,
Is that blade stamped or etched? A couple of Weidmannsheils I have are very deeply stamped, I like this feature.

Ive got a 2 bladed hunter model. A spear and a small wharncliffe. The lock on the large blade is released by pushing down on the small blade. Nice stag and F&F. It came from a Parker catalogue 20+ years ago.--KV
