Weird issue with edge angle on new otf

Picked up a new heretic manticore s today and surprisingly the edge was terribly dull and would hardly cut paper. Figured it would come soon enough, so set it up on the wicked edge to get her shaving sharp. While using the sharpie trick to match the existing bevel, one side of the blade was about 26 degrees and the other side 32. Seems very odd to me, have done numerous benchmades and microtechs and always set each side at the same degree, but this one was way off. Bevels still look even after sharpening at these angles. Just curious, is this normal?
 
Do you think uneven edge angles could be normal? Really? o_O

Quality control varies from company to company.
 
Not uncommon at all on production knives. It can be corrected over time with subsequent Sharpenings.
 
If one side is 26, the other 32 and they look even, I'd suspect the primary grind was off.
I've seen plenty of premium brand knives with uneven primary grinds, but none that far off.
