Well I went to a big hunting and fishing expo today and had a blast. There were tons of great displays from all types of manufacturers, taxidermists, etc. Some of the major highlights were seeing Milo Hanson and the Hanson buck, meeting Cody Robbins and Kelsey Claypool from Live2Hunt, with Cody's monster world record archery Mule deer. Watching the actual video footage of him stalking and taking it along with him talking about the hunt and what it felt like to take an animal of that class was pretty motivating for my own hunting. I also saw Eva Shockey at the show, and for any readers of Big Buck magazine, I got to pick up the actual sheds of the buck they knew as "Heavy Duty", from the year before it was killed by a poacher. All in all it was a great day and even my girlfriend had a really good time. I also found out that the Walleye I caught this summer is only 1.5 inches shorter than the catch and release world record, although that one had a lot more belly than mine.
