These days I bought a 650 Nighthawk at the well known auctioneer.
It is serialized with 132/750 and has the engraving WGF on the right
hand side too. Does anybody knows more about this Nighthawk?
I couldn't find anything, either in the BCCI special ediiton list.

Many thanks for any answer.

Best,
Haebbie

Herbert, what is the stamp on the opposite side of the blade? Is it patent pending? It looks like a serrated first version run that someone engraved their initials in? Perhaps someone at Buck got a special serrated version? I only say this because I thought there were 750 initially offered and they had that same engraving on the blade. I don't really know though. Its just a guess... I guess :D

Yes, Jim, that was my first thought too. But the first production run had 500 knives, not 750.

Well, I bought the knife a few days ago. And I think the shipping needs two or three weeks more. So I can't have a look. And the sellers pictures are too bad that I can read the stamp. But it seems that Pat Pend did not sign the knife. Ergo the 650 is an early one.

I hope that there is somebody who can tell us the story behind these knives.

Many thanks, Jim, for your kind answer :).

Herbert
