What type of micarta is the one being used for Deks pre-order?
The majority of the micarta being used in the pre-orders is Accurate Acculam made in Yonkers New York. The green is a Norplex Micarta product. The edge cut antique is old surplus that I purchased from a ship builder. It had already been turned into bearing stock so there was no labels, but given the application, the time frame, and its appearance (cotton fiber aged into a gold color and high translucency of the phenolic) compared to known samples, it appears to be Westinghouse but there's no way to know.

Thanks Nathan!
Is the AECM for the pre-order also paper micarta? Or linen or canvas? According to your reference photo on the pre-order thread, looks different than that on the UF2

Not really carrying, but I'm working from home and handling my K18 a bunch.

I'd basically resolved to sell it - I'm moving from the US in a couple of months, so it will just go into storage, and I'm not sure when I'll be back, so it's the logical thing to do.

But, but, but . . . if you like things that go choppity-chop, this is pretty much the ultimate . . . so . . . who needs logic when you have a huge choppa?

And the more I handle it, the more I'm getting over my initial fear, and able to see it as more than just a trip to the ER to have my toes or kneecaps reattached in-waiting.

Hey Christian, if you’re referring to this photo, that’s my EDC2 that I’ve had for awhile. I don’t know if it’s canvas or linen ECAM. That came from the ship builder’s bearing stock. The Westinghouse paper micarta is from a different batch. I believe Nathan is using the ship builder’s ECAM for the preorder.
