This is a Flat Ground Semi-Skinner, Ealy Damascus Nickle Twist Blade with S-Curve Spiderweb Bolsters and Ironwood handle with fancy pins.
Made this for the NCCA Raffle This Past June.

Rene those rock. I like the big handle on the damascus knife. How do you angle the guards like that? Nice effect. I like the one with curved bolsters too, you're not much afraid to try anything are you? :D

Dave,
I angle the guards the same way you would do a standard guard on a stick tang, I put my file jig on my blade at an angle and file the two notches that will fit up against the guard. It's a little tricky the first time, but after you do one, no problemooooo.

i really dig 1,2.5, also. they all show great craftsmanship. are you going to put some scales on that kerambit?

That was the first Kerambit I made, and finished it with carbon fiber, When I shot the picture I wanted to include it even though It wasn't finished it. I have made a few changes on the one's I make now, I hand knurl where the slits are in this photo, holds the thumb much better. I've used Rosewood burl, curly maple and micarta on some of the new ones. I am just bad at remembering to take photo's before I sell them.

Just want to thank everyone for there kind words. I have a double ground knife I am working on next, should have a picture soon enough.

Beautiful knives! You wouldnt happen to have been influenced by George Herron, would you?

Danbo you are good! The 5th knife, in the first photo is an exact copy of a Herron Little Dude, except I changed the grind and the handle slightly. The Damascus Semi-skinner is also a close copy of Herron's semi-skinner. He's why I started making knives. But I also owe Jim Siska,(my mentor) and Tim Zowada, without their help, I wouldn't be as far along as I am in knifemaking. Thanks Guys! :D

I knew it. That flat ground damascus semi skinner with the ironwood looks like it could have been made by George himself, or Wayne Hendrix maybe. That one is my favorite.
