Just for something new to talk about.

What are everybody's hopes for the custom-production line, when it finally gets going. Lets just take for granted that we all want to see a 5, 6, 8 and a wave on everything. In the way of customer specified options for their knife is what I mean.

Good idea for a disucssion.

In additon to to the choice of colours for liners and blades which has been announced. It would be good to have a choice of handle materials, for example: G10, Micarta, Carbon Fibre, MOP etc.

BTW - should we all contribute to purchase a watch and calendar for Emerson Knives. The web site still says that the new Company Store offering these facilites will be open in two weeks - AFTER HOW MANY MONTHS?!?!?!

Personally, I'd like to see bolsters offered on production knives.

I'm with Ed on the large selection of scale material. Most of all, I would want Micarta.

I'd like to see a Spyderco style opening hole offered on Commanders.

I'd also like to see a production E1S-M, ya' know it would sell.

I wouldn't mind seeing a production hawk. Not a CQC9, but maybe a completely ground SARK.

I would like to see a CQC 7 w/ bolsters and maybe Micarta or CF handle slabs with annodized liners. Also maybe a bolstered commander.

Production fixed blades like the Vindicator, micarta as a scale choice, bolsters and waves on all folders, a fully sharpened-tip SARK, and the ability to order all of these from Emerson's website!

I'd like to a shortened waiting time. They (Emerson) have been talking about this custom/production thing for over a year. I don't have much faith in Ernie and his crew. IMHO he's alot of talk with little action and an indifferent attitude toward his customers.

I do know one thing . The Times I have dealt with the Company I was dealt with in a very polite and professional manner . Emerson's production company is still fairly new by industry standards. So every so often you are going to have bugs in the system. It takes time to get something like this up and running . Al the Emerson products I own and the ones I have sold in my shop have been TOP QUALITY and they do not stay on the shelves long. be patient and the good stuff will come your way

I'd like the option of thicker liners and G10 scales. I have big hands and this option would help me out.
Personally, I like the standard black G10 handles and satin finished blades.
