i had a red one and used it to make $10 on a resale flip. :D

i sold it to help fund the blue one i have on order

Cutting fruit, envelopes, boxes, those sealed plastic packages they use to pi$$ me off, prying off my cell phone battery case, camping... Heck I even use it to hand over to TSA when I forget to leave it home or pack it in my check-in bag. :) Pretty much just about anything. It's my favorite EDC because it's IMO the perfect blade size and shape, doesn't cost a lot, and just works great!!

Edit: No, not affiliated with Kershaw... but I wish I was!

I carried mine everyday until I noticed it was cracked, but I used it for everything. Mostly to cut open plastic packages and tape on boxes, friends like to shave their arms because they are impressed on how sharp it is after touch up on Sharpmaker. When the boss cooks porkchops on Saturdays sometimes use it instead of dumb plastic knives. I love that knife, now I have to send it back for warranty. I love the grip, the fact that I barely notice it in my pocket also. Short story, for everything!

I use mine for everything! I rotate my ZT's in my front pocket, but the Skyline is in the back every single day.

Shouldn't this thread be labeled "What do you not use your Skyline for?"

It's a shorter list ;)

I use it to open boxes while i'm out depending on whos around...pulling out a 0560 or tyrade scares ppl sometimes so I use the skyline in high traffic areas

I don't use mine a ton. I like the assisteds and a little more to hang onto in the handle. I'm not a huge fan of this clip either. But I do really like the smaller profile and weight of it and carry the Skyline in my swim shorts when going to the river/lake/families pool. I rotate between the Skyline, Chive, Leek, and Scallon. We are in the middle of bikini season here, so my board shorts are getting worn a lot and the Skyline gets carried some.

Everything.

I like to use it for eating steak, cutting fruit, opening packages, breaking down cardboard, and cleaning fingernails :). I can name a hundred other things.

I work on a horse farm and the skyline was my second purchase from kershaw (I was moving up because the cheap knives I have used my entire life just never held up for me), couldn't have been more impressed. I now have 5 kershaws the OD-2, chill, skyline, packrat, and blur so that should tell you something. I still carry the skyline 6 days a week to work, it is durable enough to handle getting used pretty hard or dropped yet simple enough not to make anyone coming through on a tour nervous when I bring it out of my pocket. I love it so much I am strongly considering trying to get an order in for one of the s30v ones for this site. One of those situations where I don't really NEED to spend the money, but man do I want to.

Sadly I no longer own mine. My brother's birthday was a few months ago and he was in need of both a gift and a knife. I had recently come to the conclusion that I preferred thicker knives for carry so I touched up the edge and gave it to him. Sadly he didn't know how to operate it (amazing that we have the same parents) so I had to demo it for him.
