Just curious - does this mean Blemish or all Blems marked on the knife blade. Thanks all.

I assume you are talking about a "B" after the model number on the blade, not the box.
Just guessing, but are you sure you're looking at a "B" and not a "C" with a dot in the center. Might look like a "B" if you don't look closely. The symbol after the model number on the blade is a date code. The "C" with a dot inside is 2011. "B" was never used as a date code. The factory blems that I have seen are marked "FB" on the backside of the blade.
Hope this helps. (a picture would help)

OK, the Model number on the box..... "B" is used in alot of different ways and you're going to have to give the full line and then someone here can help you if I can't. Need to know what knife and the context B is used in. Too many variations to say something about "B" out of context.
It could be a construction feature or series. For example....
BR brass
BK black
BB brown bone
FB factory blem etc etc

So......they put a B on the box so we'll know it's a box??

Strikes me they might be able to eliminate that particular labeling expense.

:)

lol.. they have to have different part #'s for inventory and ordering purposes

If the labels were not vague and incomprehensible I suspect people would not regularly be asking questions like this on this forum.

:D
