What I hate about MSC!

:grumpy: I just spent $90 at MSC for reamers, taps, bits and other sundries for this folder project, and what I hate about these guys is you spend $50-$100 and you end up with a little paper lunch sack with the equivalent of about a PB&J sandwich in the bottom! When I spend $$$ I want a BIG box, not a sandwich bag! :grumpy:

Oh well. Now I just need my bandsaw, bandsaw blade, cross slide vice, washers and thumbstud and I'll be all set!
 
You load 16 tons. What do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt.

But its fun getting those packages delivered by "Brown", isn't it? :D

BLADE is a week from today, sorta.....but who's counting...just 6 more sliipjoints to try to get finished..two pearls, 2 jigged bone, an ivory and a stag.

How did you get McMaster Carr to ship to your house? They tell me they only ship to businesses so I order through work.

Hmm...I've never had any trouble with McMaster orders delivered to my house either. I haven't ordered anything in a while but I think I generally put "Thomas Knives" in the business spot.
 
Tell them you're under house arrest and you can't leave because you have one of those ankle thingies on! See how they respond! :cool:
I'd just tell them you have a home business and that would be that. Are shipping charges different for home vs business or what? A lot of places try to pull that garbage....
 
re shipping, I believe that shipping charges to a residence is are higher than commercial location....theory being easier to just hit the loading dock or front desk and often more than one at a time...more efficiency so less cost than the single package to a residential location....theory anyhow
